The Washington Post reports on the curious case of The New York Times reporter, Jodi Rudoren, who has been given her own social media minder who will be looking at every Tweet and Facebook status update that she writes to check and edit them before sending.

Last year during the Arab Spring we had the Egyptian man who named his newborn daughter “Facebook” and now it is being reported that a mother has called her newborn baby Hashtag – proving if nothing else that this has really been Twitter’s year.

A really smart campaign here from Israel’s Anti-Drug Authority that makes great creative use of Facebook Timeline’s design and the way it splits your profile evenly down the middle. It is also appears to be the first brand to use Facebook Timeline for advertising.

Okay, so first we had a man in Egypt naming his newborn daughter “Facebook” during the Arab Spring and now it looks like this trend has leaked across the border.

A couple in Israel have named their baby girl ”Like’ after being inspired by Facebook and apparently rejecting alternatives Noa, Maya and Tamar, which are the most popular for girls in Israel.
