Mitt Romney may still be behind Barack Obama in general poll ratings, but on social media innovation his team is starting to pull closer, as polling day approaches.

Firstly, his team have worked new Facebook searches in a more sophisticated manner that their opponents. When you search for ‘Obama’ on Facebook, you are actually presented with sponsored results for Mitt Romney. The same is true if you search Facebook for Bill Clinton. Read More »

Facebook hires former Clinton press chief for senior role

Facebook has hired some political muscle in the shape of Joe Lockhart, a former White House press secretary for Bill Clinton, to boost its lobbying efforts on Capitol Hill as it faces scrutiny over privacy issues.

Lockhart will head up Facebook’s  policy, international and corporate communications efforts and take on the role of vice-president of communications. Read More »
