Baidu Launches Online Shopping Mall

Chinese search engine Baidu has launched an online shopping mall in China. Rakuten, the Japanese e-commerce giant, teamed up with Baidu to develop Lekutian (meaning ‘Happy Cool Day’ in case you were wondering), which will compete with the established Alibaba Group – the biggest online retail network in China, currently holding a 75% market share (Analysys International).
