England’s top female football players take to Twitter to boost Super League

New Zealand goalie Aroon Clansey signed for English FA WSL club Liverpool Ladies in February 2012The Guardian has a report on how some of England’s top female footballer players are attempting to use Twitter to raise the profile of the game.

The players, who include Arsenal’s Stephanie Houghton (@stephhoughton2) and Liverpool’s Aroon Clansey (@AroonClansey), are displaying their Twitter names on the shirt sleeves of their kit ahead of the the second Women’s Super League season, which kicks off on Sunday. Read more »
