The one-day course will comprise a series of lectures and practical workshops on the art of vajazzling from cutting-edge industry experts.
Attendees will leave at the end of the day feeling educated, empowered and inspired, ready to vajazzle in the privacy of their own homes.
The course will include:
1. A keynote speech from TOWIE star and self-confessed “vajazzle junkie” Amy Childs on the semiotics of personal adornment in the arena of contemporary motherhood.
2. A lecture on the history of body art, from the Neanderthals to the present day, delivered by social anthropologist Enid Daub, of Cambridge University.
3. An exhibition with cutting-edge vajazzler, Dr Flora Pisol MBE, whose contributions to the field have earned her the recognition of a raft of well-known public figures, including model Katie Price, the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson and Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, Ed Balls
4. A sponsored workshop by Swarovski on the care and maintenance of crystals in a non-sterile environment.
Justine Roberts, Mumsnet Founder said: “As any new mother will tell you, time spent on personal appearance is one of the first things to be sacrificed on the altar of parenthood. In those initial topsy-turvy days after childbirth, simply finding the time to shower, never mind to put on make-up can feel like an impossible challenge.
“Vajazzling can be the perfect antidote to that. Our course will take a precision art-form to the next level and will empower women in the process.”
Sadly this is a one day offer only. Can’t think why…
