The figure more than triples the number of members it had three years ago and means that four out of five British professionals are now LinkedIn members.
The 10 million members make the UK LinkedIn’s third largest market globally beaten only by the United States and India.
The strong growth for the professional social network means it has added around seven million members in the last three years.
Overall LinkedIn has more than 175 million members globally, as of last month, and has put on around 25 million members since the start of the year.
For LinkedIn it means it essentially owns the professional social networking market in the UK making it very difficult for smaller rivals BranchOut, Viadeo and Xing to make much headway.
Ariel Eckstein, managing director of LinkedIn EMEA, said: “At LinkedIn, our mission is simple: to connect the world’s professionals to make them more productive and successful. Since the network launched almost a decade ago, LinkedIn has been a valuable place for professionals to connect, do business and exchange ideas.
“As we continue along this journey, our focus remains on our members. So I’d like to personally thank every member for their continued support and for making LinkedIn a part of your professional life.”
