The Future of the Social Customer – rise of ‘fan commerce’ [infographic]
While many of us currently search for products on social media sites there are as yet few purchases that are happening directly. That, however, is likely to change massively in the next three to five years.
As this infographic details the opportunity for the social shopper has barely been scratched.
The prediction is that as many as 15% of total online consumer spending could go through Facebook within the next three to five years.
Add to that Twitter and Google+ and you have hundreds of millions of consumers buying via social media.
It talks about how F-commerce is not really Facebook commerce, but rather Fan commerce. Our purchases to some extent driven by our friends.
It also highlights how Pinterest is a great driver for e-commerce traffic and that its future power for driving online purchases could make it very powerful for retailers.
