Fashion brand offers discounts based on size of your social network

Volga Verdi: an independent contemporary fashion brand specialising in superbright clothing designInteresting idea from Californian-based fashion brand Volga Verdi, which specialises in “superbright clothing”, that is offering its customers discounts depending on size of their social networks.

It is tempting customers with pp to 50% discounts based on how many friends or followers they have and providing you complete a number of actions.

The discount covers Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Tumblr, Lookbook.nu, Foursquare and a load others social networks.

For instance on Facebook you get a $5 discount if you have 30 to 150 friends and if you like Volga Verdi on Facebook and post this your status update:

“Superbright clothing by Volga Verdi: made in space. http://www.volgaverdi.com”.

You get a $7 discount if you have 150-1000 friends and a $15 if you have 1000+ friends.

It is the same deal on Twitter where it is offering $7 for 20-200 followers and $15 for 200 plus. You also need to follow Volga Verdi on Twitter and tweet the same text as above.

It’s a really nice idea and it will be interesting to see if it takes off.
