Multi-admin access coming Q1 2012 for Google+

Brands will have to wait until Q1 next year in order to have multi-admin access on their Google+ Pages, the company announced at the CrushIQ conference yesterday.

Google+ users expressed frustration at this seemingly simple lack of functionality last week when Google launched its Pages project.

However, the company has also announced that a number of third-party apps, including Hootsuite, will be integrated into Google+ Pages, allowing users to manage their pages freely. Although, so far, this option is only available to Hootsuite “Pro” users.

Also announced at the CrushIQ conference are Google+ “verified brands,” which allows businesses to slap a Google+ badge on their website and link directly to their Google+ Page.

A “verified brand” will benefit from increased visibility in Google search rankings and allow for “direct connect” search—users can add a “+” symbol before the search term (i.e., +Cadbury), which will link directly to the brand’s Google+ Page, although that feature is still in development.

Brands can also expect AdWords to start appear in Google+ Pages, although the company said it is in no hurry to monetize. AdWords for Google+ is to roll-out next quarter as well,
