Bmibaby and Instagram reward users with a free flight

Low-cost airline bmibaby is to reward users of the photo-sharing social network Instagram with a free flight to a European city.

Bmibaby teamed up with Instagram back in July to launch its own Instagram feed, and asked its customers to share photos of their trips.

Next Saturday, members of the Italian Instagram community, known as Instagramers, will be flown in to attend an Instameet in London for the first ever Instagram exchange.

During the exchange users will partake on a photo walk around the city, while photographing and posting their experiences from the day throughout. The bmibaby team will be there on the day report directly to their Twitter feed and Facebook page.

The following month the London Instagramers will be flown to Venice to complete the exchange. Exchanges are already scheduled with Instagramers in Germany and Holland.

Instagram, the iPhone-only app, which allows users to take photos, apply a filter and share via Facebook, Twitter or Flickr, has about 10m users worldwide, in over 140 cities.
