How airlines use Twitter [infographic]
Useful infographic here from Tnooz.com looking at how airlines use Twitter to communicate with customers.
We blogged a little while ago another infographic on how airlines across the world are dedicating resources to social media, this one features a lot of international airline brands, but it also has some UK and European ones in there too with British Airways, KLM and EasyJet.
As it points out oddly, the number of airlines using Twitter accounts has declined from 191 in July to 186 in August. What is also interesting is how smaller airlines triumph here.
JetBlue as we all know is a deft hand at social media and is mentioned here, but so is Cebu Pacific, which I don’t know much about, which became the global airline with the second highest number of mentions on Twitter in August 2011. It received almost 12,000 public tweets, almost 3,000 ahead of JetBlue yet still around 16,000 fewer than Delta.
