Now the riot clean up gets a YouTube anthem

A rapper has made his own contribution to healing London and the UK after the riots with a rap, simply called ‘Stop the riots’. I love the way how things like this and other more practical riot clean-up activity, organised by riotcleanup, has been sparked and swung into action, but this rap is as powerful as anything else as it is created in the same language as some of those involved in the riots understand.

It was created by@Tayong who is a UK rapper, singer-Songwriter and MC. He produced, wrote, recorded and mixed down the track and says he hopes “it will knock some sense into these so called thugs”.  Let’s hope so. Take a look. Read More »

What’s the deal with ‘buying’ new Twitter followers?

Following questions over the veracity of Newt Gingrich’s 1.3 million follower count on Twitter, the redoubtable American institution NPR has investigated the practice of buying Twitter followers.

(We should point out that a spokesman for Gingrich has denied that he has paid for Twitter followers (instead explaining that his follower count grew after the Republican was added to Twitter’s suggested users list).)
