There are a few mighty suns in this Twitter user galaxy and they certainly do shine brighly. There is Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Ashton Kutcher and Kim Kardashian to name a celebrity few.

Then in different orbits we have the likes of Barack Obama, CNN and and the New York Times.

This infographic from icrossing plots the 30 top Twitter users in orbit around each other. There aren’t too many surprises. The list is  dominated by music and Hollywood. Charlie Sheen is there too. A new star, so to speak.

In terms of number of tweets there is little contest. The New York Times (@NYTimes) account sent more than 5,000 in March alone.  However, in terms of followers the NY Times pales in comparison to Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber. The NY Times has just over three million (@CNNbrk 4.1 million) followers compared to Lady Gaga’s 9.3 million of Bieber’s 8.8 million.
