Brilliant use of YouTube for Tipp-Ex– he can’t shoot the bear

What wonderfully cool little YouTube viral for Tipp-Ex. I love this work by French agency Buzzman in Paris. A hunter can not bring himself to shoot a bear, which is a shame as that is the title of the video, but luckily Tipp-Ex has the answer and it allows you the viewer to write the ending.

The hunter reaches for the Tipp-Ex Mini Mouse product and erases the word “shoots” and invites the viewer to replace it with a word of their choice. After the viewer has written their own headline it sparks off an alternative endings of which there appear to be quite a few to choose from.

Its like the mulitiverse or something that I read that Stephen Hawking book. I’ve not seen this before, but love the execution and of course bears. It is a great idea for a back to school campaign for the back to school campaign.

Once you’ve written your alternative headline you hit play to see how the story turns out. Here are some of the words I used, I know smutty much.

If you try something unfriendly like,um, blowing the bear up you will just get the bear shaking his furry head at you. Sweet.

Or if if they don’t quite understand your typing then there is the classic.

Watch the ad to write your own headline. We don’t know who the agency is – but good job for Tipp-Ex (part of the BIC Group). It reminds me of the John West spot with the bear fight created by Leo Burnett….
