Twitter the movie – this is Awesome [Trailer fun]
Forget the Facebook movie, ‘The Social Network’, here comes the Twitter movie – ‘The Twit Network’. Okay so there is only a trailer so far, but what a trailer.
It reveals some of the great truths of Twitter including the well known fact that if you put the letters “Tw” in front of any word it makes it infinitely cooler…except maybe not if you ask for a Twhisky. That is not such an awesome experience.
I was cracking up watching this and now will not be around for the rest of the day as I assess whether stuff that I spend a lot of time doing (tweeting) is “useless and boring”. I also need to check out what is written on the bathroom wall.
Here’s a question, would we think any differently about Twitter if we found out that Biz Stone and Evan Williams had a conversation about forming Twitter that went like this:
“I need to create a way to blog that is as random and incoherent as writing on a bathroom wall…
“Because normal blogging is tedious and dumb and leads to fully formed ideas. People want to have narcissistic conversations with total strangers about the everyday minutia about their lives. Why not build them a service that does that?”
Why not indeed. Twitter is like the ‘Field of Dreams’ Talking of awesomeness – would Shoeless Joe Jackson have tweeted?
Hats off to Rated Awesome for creating ‘The Twit Network’ and to the Gregory Brothers who provide the music. Nice job.

That is super frickin awesome man!
What a Load of Bollocks! Just as Bad as the Facebook Mooovie!!!
Shoesless Joe would not have tweeted. And I hope that W.P. Kinsella doesn’t/won’t, either. Best moment in the trailer is Ben wondering what Matt is doing. THANKS.
