The G20 Summit March is On
This week I’ll be going along to some of the protest marches being organised in London in response to the world’s leaders gathering in London this week for the G20 summit. I went along to the peaceful Put People First march from Embankment to Hyde Park over the weekend, and plan to tag along with the more radical group G20 Meltdown on Wednesday and Thursday this week. I’ll also be checking out the happenings at Climate Camp, and look forward to speaking with some of the participants about what is on their minds.

I’m thinking of heading down to yer London for a bit of a march on Weds too – but what do you think the chances are of actually being able to get in to the city using the train system.
I live about 3 miles south of the middle of nowhere, so will have to train down and then tube from one of the main terminals. Driving to an environmental demo just seems wrong and I haven’t got time to ride down on my BMX.
I toyed with the idea of my own, ‘regional’ (isn’t that quaint) demo, but the prospect of standing on my own having a rant and waving an angry fist at the local HSBC manager is more likely to get me sectioned than help me make my point.
Travel tips for entusiastic regional militants anybody?

I guess the U.S. need to accept the suggestions of the E.U., and the E.U.and the other nations need to adopt an advanced smart grid technology, which is worth the deficit for job creation and economic activity, is something to do ultimately.
I think like USA, the world economy also urgently needs job creation, and like internet, the global economy requires common ground, that is why The World-Wide Green New Deal is necessary.
We can not rebuild grand economy on the volatile, declining energy base, instead, the world has enough technology and its potential, I suppose.
